Persistence - A Lesson From The Chinese Bamboo Tree

Hello friends,

Hope all is well. I wanted to share this video with you. The message reminds us to be persistent in everything we do. It may seem as though our efforts are in vain, but if you continue on despite the obstacles, results will follow.

Seeds, like our desires, take time to grow. Some longer than others. The important thing to remember is that once the seed is planted you have to have faith that if you continue to nurture this seed, it will eventually turn into something beautiful.

Don't get discouraged if you don't see the fruits of your labor right away. The seed that you have planted needs time to take root. Keep watering your seeds. Pursue your desires no matter what the circumstances may be. Circumstance is temporary. Your belief in your dream is what gets you past these difficult times.

Finally one day your desires will be realized. At this moment you will understand that your persistence was worth it. The result will be something that is amazing and unique to you. Find your passion. Uncover your desires. All that we need has been provided for us. Water your seeds of passion and know that the harvest is coming and it will soon be your time to reap its rewards. Many blessings, and have a great day.

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”

-Calvin Coolidge

“The most essential factor is persistence - the determination never to allow your energy or enthusiasm to be dampened by the discouragement that must inevitably come.”

-James Whitcomb Riley

“Persistence is the twin sister of excellence. One is a matter of quality; the other, a matter of time.”

-Unknown

“Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragement, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak”

-Thomas Carlyle

Thanks for the great posts, quotes and an opportunity for reflection that you provide, so sincerely.

I get my word of the day here, persistence.

Why not add a widget that automatically gives a-word-of-the-day in your blog?

Btw, your blog's link to the follower is not working. From your main blogger page, I am here: http://www.blogger.com/followers.g?blogID=8323245529688314044, and click at Shirley, there is an inactive link. Click at journ or Jane, it works... strange although.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the heads up. That's a great idea about the widget. I'll look into it. Many blessings!

Positive vibration! Persistence in letting it all be done and flowing naturally with all things like water. So much is letting it be done and not becoming the doer.

Respect
