Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Here are some fun quotes that will make you think twice. But first I wanted to share a video of another funny baby. He gives the wickedest "evil eye". There is nothing evil about the laughter that follows though.
The innocence of a baby is so precious. They appreciate every moment for what it is. Every experience is new and in the "now". Living in the "now" draws you closer to the Source. Be like a baby and draw closer to the one that Is.
Enjoy, and thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Happy Holidays to everyone out in the blogsphere. Now that I live in Miami, one of the things that I miss is the Christmas light displays. I grew up in Rhode Island so I was always used to people going all out to impress the neighbors. We have lights down here but not the same. The lights just don't look the same. The snow makes everything look so beautiful.
Here are some Christmas light displays that are truly amazing. I can't imagine the light bills for the month of December for these people. Tell someone that you love them today and let's get ready for a prosperous new year. Many blessings and thanks for listening.

A Poem For My Sunshine

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Today is my girlfriends birthday. I am very thankful and blessed to have her in my life. I call her My Sunshine. She really brightens up my day.
I gave her the nickname one day after she came to visit me at work. At the time I was working at a sneaker store. I was having a horrible day. It was slow and the customers we did have were not friendly at all.
I was helping a customer who was be very annoying. It wasn't that she was a bad person. It's just that she was so indecisive and wanted to try on 30 pairs of sneakers. Back and forth, back and forth. Sneaker after sneaker. I was about to burst. I was about to tell her to just pick one shoe already and be gone.
The sun was setting and that always brought a good feeling because that meant that I would be getting off soon. I certainly wouldn't be able to leave before I was done with this customer. When she finally found a pair that suited her, a friend of hers came into the store and told her that she didn't like the pair that she had picked. I was furious. I had finally gotten her into a pair that she liked and here comes her friend to tell her that they don't look good.
I had to walk away. I excused myself to go in the back to take a couple of deep breaths or else I might have exploded right there. I took a minute a or two and then walked back out and went back to helping out the customer. At that moment I felt a certain warmth that engulfed my body. I looked up at the doorway and there was my girlfriend. The sun as setting low in the sky behind her so it looked like she was glowing like an angel. It was the most beautiful picture. Anytime someone mentions her name I see her in my mind being surrounded by the most beautiful rays of sunshine.
So that's how she got the nickname Sunshine. Our friends tease us when I call her Sunshine, but that's what she is. She's my sunshine. She's what wakes me up in the morning and what tells me when it's time to rest. Thanks Sunshine. I love you very much.
Enjoy this poem about Sunshine. Be sure to tell the people in your life that you love them. Don't wait for special occasions. Make it a daily habit. Love conquers all. Thanks for listening.
The world gives me reasons,
To shout, scream and cry,
But Sunshine always,
Make my worries go by.
Sunshine is like an angel,
It touches me through me Soul,
It gives me reason to smile,
Makes me complete on the whole.
Sunshine is like a sound,
It synchronizes the music in me,
I get great cause to celebrate, as,
It lets my spirit free.
No matter its day or night,
Sunshine is always there,
Making the shrewd world around,
Look pretty and fair.
My Sunshine is soft and gentle,
Its snug and soothing too,
It snips my sorrows off me,
My Sunshine, dear, its You!

Love From A Childs Perspective

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. When it comes to love we should all strive to be like children. A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"
The answers that the children gave were amazing. All of the responses are examples of true love. There is no bias. There is no condition. There is no, "if you do this, then I'll show you love." Form the child's perspective, love is unconditional. No strings attached.
The child's mind has yet to be corrupted by the many influences that shape the way we think. As we get older we start to listen to others for our definition of love. The past will begin to influence how we view love in the future. If we have been hurt in the past, we may begin to associate love with that hurt. Now we're stuck in a hurtful situation because that's what we think we need as a part of recieving love or attention.
The little acts of love that the children talk about are the things that great relationships are built on. It is an everyday thing. We shouldn't wait for special occasions to show others love. We should be in a constant state of love. The more love you give, the more love you will receive.
Enjoy the innocence of these answers. When it comes to love, be like a child and love unconditionally. When you surround yourself with love, amazing things will happen. Thanks for listening.
"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8 "When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4(I love this one) "Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5 "Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6 "Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4 "Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before
giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
Danny - age 7 "Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Today is Blogger's Unite Day.
It is a date on which we are to perform an act of kindness. This is something that I was happy to participate in. We should all strive to help others on a daily basis. We are all extension of One Source. This leads us to believe that we are all one in the same. When I look upon you, I look upon myself.
I talked about acts of kindness in my post, Build Your ARK. The A.R.K. stands for Act of Random Kindness. I think random acts of kindness are the best. They are not preconceived. There are no ulterior motives behind the action. It is spur of the moment. It is pure love.
These random acts of kindness is what inspires others to show someone else love. They will remember how good it felt to get help when they needed it, and will be quick to share those good feelings with someone as well.
About a month ago I was getting off the Metrorail, which is the train system in Miami. As I was walking through the turnstiles I noticed two women walking towards me. One of the women was really upset. She had forgotten her rail pass in the office and she didn't have any cash on her. What made it worse is that her friend didn't have any cash on her either.
She went into a tirade similar to my friends three year old daughter when she doesn't get what she wants. She began talking about how bad a day she was having. How this always happens to her. I thought she was going to have a heart attack right there. Her friend began to look around in embarrassment.
As it was I had $1.50 in quarters in my pocket. I took the money out and started to walk over to her. I could see that the two women were looking at me apprehensively. I walked up to her and gave her $1.50, the price of the fare. She had a look of amazement on her face. I just smiled and walked away. I could here them talking as I walked away. "I can't believe that just happened." "That never happens in Miami." She yelled after me and said "thank you." I didn't turn around even though I had heard her. Maybe I was going for affect, hoping she would think I was an Angel, because it seemed like she needed something that dramatic in her life to change her attitude.
Here's the best part of the story. Earlier in the day a stranger had given me a free pass for the metrorail because they weren't going to use it. I was thankful and happy because I had saved some money. Because someone showed me a random act of kindness, I was able to show someone else a random act of kindness. These random acts become infectious. It leaves you with a good feeling but more importantly you renew the faith of someone who may have been struggling in life. That random act may be the spark that someone needs to achieve something big.
Try to make it a point to show at least one Act Of Random Kindness a day. It's not that hard. Pass along the message, and soon people will be helping each other more and more each day. Eventually it will become natural to you and you won't even notice that you're doing it. It becomes who you are.
My act of kindness on this occasion is to show a little "link Love" to my friends at Blogcatalog and MyBlog Log. These are the two network communities that I frequent the most. I have been fortunate to come across some very creative blogs. Lots of unique ideas are being exchanged which is always a good thing.
I was starting to get tired as I was typing out all the links so I took a break. I decided to finish the book I was reading Warrior of the Light: A Manual by Paulo Coelho. When I finished the book I went back to typing. I noticed that someone had added me as a friend on Blogcatalog. When I went to his profile, I noticed that Paulo Coelho was his top friend. I don't believe in coincidences anymore. It was an obvious sign or omen as Coelho likes to say, that I need to pay attention to what I had just read. The Universe always lets you know when you should be listening. It is our job to act.
I tried to be careful to get all the links right. I only put one blog for each publisher. Some of you have 2,3,...10 blogs(I applaud your dedication.)I would have been up all night so I listed the blog that I visit most often. By the way...if anyone knows of an easier way to put together a list like this let me know. I'm sure there is.
Have a great day. It should be a good one with so many minds focused on a common goal of kindness. Show someone an Act Of Random Kindness and know that you have improved someones experience in life. Enjoy your "Love Link", and thanks for listening.

Quotes From Dale Carnegie

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I just wanted to give you some motivational quotes today from Dale Carnegie. Carnegie was an American writer and lecturer and the developer of famous courses in self-improvement, salesmanship, corporate training, public speaking and interpersonal skills. He was the author of How to Win Friends & Influence People. He also wrote a biography of Abraham Lincoln, titled Lincoln the Unknown, as well as several other books.
Take a look at this video. Think about the quotes that are shared with us. Motivation can only come from within. Find something in your life that you love to do. Nurture that idea. Begin to live that idea. Soon, that idea will begin to take root and grow into something beautiful and unique. Thanks for listening

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Before we get to todays post I would like to thank Robert for linking me to his blog Mulled Vine. As far as I know this is the first time that I have been linked so I really appreciate it. Check out his blog. I especially like this post, How To Look Happy At Work, and his most recent entry, Buttprints In The Sand really made me think. Thanks again Robert. Keep spreading the good word.
Let's laugh some more. This has got to be one of the funniest solos ever in the history of solos sung in any church. It reminds me of something from American Idol. You know the preview shows where they feature the auditions of the bad singers.
I don't know about sweet...but it's definitely some kind of sound. What's O-Mazing is that congregation continues to sing along with this guy...And what a Finale. You'll understand after you watch it.
I'd like to thank my brother for sending me this via myspace. He must have sensed that this week, I have been purposely putting myself in positive situations. Which for me entails, amongst other things, finding stuff to laugh about. It's been a great week. Thanks Andrew!!!
Enjoy this video. We can all offer our gratitude in our own unique way. Thanks for listening.

Three Babies That Will Make You Laugh...Guaranteed!

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I guess I've been on theme of happiness and laughter for the past week or so as evidenced by my last few post. I'm realizing more and more that this world is our playground and we should be enjoying it to the fullest.
I came across these three youtube videos of babies laughing. There is something about a babies laughter that is so infectious. I guarantee that you will laugh to the point of tears.
Remember that we have the gifts to create whatever existence we desire. Make it a life of complete appreciation for all that encompasses us. Take appreciation from the good and the bad. Understand that by experiencing difficult situation, we gain so much knowledge from how we react. "It's not what happens to us, but how we react, that is the true test of our character".
So laugh in the face of adversity. Be thankful for even the hard times. The hard times bring us closer to full potential. Enjoy these videos. Share the laughter with a friend. And as always, thanks for listening.
#3 - Baby laughing at father playing golf on the WII. (I have to get one. Anything that can make someone laugh this hard has to be good).
#2 - Baby laughing at the sound a paper tearing. (Happiness can be found in the smallest of things).
#1 - Baby laughing at father making silly noises. (Uninhibited Joy).

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I've been only trying hold onto the positive aspects that are in my life. It is hard because I am constantly bombarded with negativity in a normal day. As soon as I turn on the television, we hear about all the wars that are happening in the world. I am told about the celebrity that got in trouble with the police again. In sports the dominant story right now is Barry Bonds and the performance enhancing drug scandal.
I think society as a whole as become numb to all that the media portrays. It has become entertainment to see people suffer and get into accidents. Just look at the top stories during the six o'clock news. We tune in to see who hurting. It's almost as if society has become addicted to watching others hurt.
I would love it if the media would focus more on positive events happening around the world. At least give me a fifty-fifty split between negative news and positive news, so that we have a chance at promoting peace. As it is, we have know chance, because the majority that is portrayed is the negative. The media focuses on the negative and in turn we get more of what they are focusing on.
I've decided that it is better to promote peace and positive thought rather than resisting negativity. If you push against something you will get more of what you are trying to resist because that is where all your thoughts are. Mother Theresa refused to go to anti-war rallies. She said, "point me in the direction of a peace rally, and I'll be the first one there." She understood that if we fight against war, war is going to fight back. Focus on peace to bring about more peace.
One of the ways to replace negative thoughts with positive ones is through laughter. Instead of watching the nightly news rent a comedy or listen to some calming music. I'm not saying that you shouldn't be aware of what is happening in the world. But you don't want to make yourself sick, thinking that world is doomed.
So take time to laugh. Get together with some good friends. Take a walk and enjoy nature. Such activities will put you in a place of appreciation for all that is good in this world. Here's a few more "Quotes that make you say hmmmm". Thanks to the good people at goodquotes.com for providing us with these funny one-liners. Enjoy, and thanks for listening.
Why are the commercials for cable companies on cable but not on regular television? Don't they want the people without cable to buy the cable?
"Have you ever noticed that if you rearranged the letters in mother in law, they come out to Woman Hitler?"
Isn't it funny how the word 'politics' is made up of the words 'poli' meaning 'many' in Latin, and 'tics' as in 'bloodsucking creatures’?
Why is it that when things get wet they get darker, even though water is clear??
Why is it that when you get out of a swimming pool, your urine is hotter when you use the restroom?
Can mute people burp?
What happens if you put this side up face down while popping microwave popcorn?
Why is chopsticks one of the easiest songs to play on the piano, but the hardest thing to eat with?
How come you play at a recital, but recite at a play?
If a fork were made of gold would it still be considered silverware?
If heat rises, then shouldn't hell be cold?
Why is there that little space inside strawberries, as if it was meant for a pit, and then the seeds are on the outside?
Why isn't chocolate considered a vegetable, if chocolate comes from cocoa
beans, and all beans are a vegetable?
Why is toilet bowl cleaning liquid only blue?
Why is it when we talk to God we are praying, but when God talks to us we are put into the loony bin?
Why do you go “back and forth” to town if you really must go forth before you go back?
Why does shaped macaroni taste better than the normal kind?
Why is vanilla ice cream white when vanilla extract is brown?
Why can't you get a tan on your palms?
If your sick for one week and on one of those days they had to cancel school because of snow, do you have to make up that day in June?
Why do dogs sniff other dog’s bottoms to say hello, why don’t they just bark in their face or something?
Why do companies offer you "free gifts?" Since when has a gift NOT been
free?
If something "goes without saying," why do people still say it?

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Have you had a good laugh today? We've all heard it before: "Laughter is the best medicine." I think it's true. I always feel better after having heard a funny quote, story, or joke.
There have been many stories of people who have used laughter as a form of medicine. I'm not suggesting that if you get sick, a 24 hour Three Stooges marathon will heal you completely. What I do suggest is that while you are taking medicine you need to put yourself in positive surroundings.
Watch funny movies. Read funny books. Go see a play or musical Do anything you can to ensure that only positive things are included in your vibrational bubble. Laughter will help to bring balance back into your body.
Here's a group of one-liner's I like to call. "Quotes That Make You Go Hmmmm." If you don't like the quotes, at the very least the picture will make you smile. Enjoy these funny one-liners, and thanks for listening.
Funny Thoughts
When people say, "I’m so tired it's not even funny" or "my head hurts so much it's not even funny", why would it even be funny in the first place?
Do stairs go up or down?
Why is there a top line on lined paper if we never use it?
Do coffins have lifetime guarantees?
Why do the numbers on phones go down while the numbers on calculators go up?
If the sky is the limit, then what is space, over the limit?
Are children who act in rated 'R' movies allowed to see them?
Can you make a candle out of your earwax?
When French people swear do they say pardon my English?
Aren't the 'good things that come to those who wait' just the leftovers from the people that got there first?
If the swat team breaks down your door do they have to replace it later?
Can a fire truck park in the fire lane?
Can it be cloudy and foggy at the same time?
"Cute as a button" Is that supposed to be a compliment? Since when are buttons cute?
Can you breathe out of your nose and mouth at the same time?
Are marbles made of marble?
Why does the last piece of ice always stick to the bottom of the cup?
If you pay for a vacation and your plane crashes on the way there, do you get you money back? (Granted you lived)
Why did Yankee Doodle name the feather in his hat Macaroni?
Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here and drink what comes out"?
Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken over there ... I'm gonna eat the first thing that comes out if its butt"?
Isn't Disney World just a people trap operated by a mouse?
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?
Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet soup?
Can you get cornered in a round room?
Why do we wash behind our ears? Who really looks there?
Why don't the hairs on your arms get split ends?
If an atheist has to go to court, do they make him swear on the Bible?
Why is it illegal to park in a handicapped parking space but its ok to use a handicapped toilet?
In that song, she'll be coming around the mountain, who is she?
Why is it that if something says, "do not eat" on the packaging it becomes extra tempting to eat?
Why are people so scared of mice, yet we all love Mickey Mouse?
Wouldn't it be smart to make the sticky stuff on envelopes taste like chocolate?

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. How do you measure wealth? Wealth encompasses all things. It includes money, but is not all to true wealth. True wealth is measured by your health, friendships, and over all well-being as well.
Don't get caught in the idea that wealth only comes from money. Remember to take care of your neighbor. What good is it if you have all the riches in the world, if the person right next to you is suffering. It is our responsibility to take care of the less fortunate.
Be thankful for what you have and be sure to pass along the blessings. Thanks for listening and enjoy these quotes.
It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has.
- Henry Ward Beecher
Not he who has much is rich, but he who gives much.
- Erich Fromm
We are rich only through what we give, and poor only through what we refuse.
- Anne Sophie Swetchine
Wealth belongs to the person who enjoys it and not to the one who keeps it.
- Afghan Proverb
It is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor.
- Seneca
Wealth is but dung, useful only when spread about.
- Chinese Proverb

- Henry Ward Beecher

The wealth of a soul is measured by how much it can feel; its poverty by how little.
- W. R. Inge
Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend.
- Laertius Diogenes
A person's true wealth is the good he or she does in the world.
- Mohammed
Adversity it sometimes hard upon a man; but for one man who can stand prosperity, there are a hundred that will stand adversity.
- Thomas Carlyle
Where there is no wealth there is no poverty.
- African Proverb
My friends are my estate.
- Emily Dickinson

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Everyone wants to be successful. It is in our nature to want to grow. Success comes in many forms. Success is relative. Success is sometimes very elusive.
Why is success sometimes so hard to find? Most of the time, it stems from not having a road map. You may gave a good idea and all the right intentions, but as they say, "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail."
Come up with a game plan. Try to be specific with what you want. Write down the steps that will get you to your goal and start to implement them. The Universe will begin to help you towards your goal. The Universe loves action.
As you begin to focus on your project, everything will start to fall into place. You'll notice that people and events will start to unfold in such a manner that produces the results you desire.
Be diligent in your quest for success. Pick one idea. "Be like a postage stamp and stick to it." Many times we fail because we start out strong but give up when we don't get the desired results right away. We often quit right before a major breakthrough. There have been many stories of people who were so close but gave up, only to have someone else follow through with the same idea and make it work.
Don't give up in your quest for success however you may measure it. Follow through to the end. Anything worth having is worth working for. You may fail from time to time, but it is these pitfalls that teach us the important lessons that lead us to our dreams.
Think and Dream BIG. Thanks for listening. Enjoy these quotes.
We are all motivated by a keen desire for praise, and the better a man is, the more he is inspired to glory.
Cicero
Along with success comes a reputation for wisdom.
Euripides
They can because they think they can.
Virgil
Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.
Thomas Jefferson
Keep steadily before you the fact that all true success depends at last upon yourself.
Theodore T. Hunger
Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
Robert Collier
The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.
Frank Loyd Wright
A failure is a man who has blundered, but is not able to cash in on the experience.
Elbert Hubbard
There is only one success--to be able to spend your life in your own way.
Christopher Morley
Failures do what is tension relieving, while winners do what is goal achieving.
Dennis Waitley
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will.
Vince Lombardi

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Today is the last in a series of Michael Losier videos. He is the author of the best-selling book Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't. Does using the word "want" contradict the Law Of Attraction? According to Losier it all depends on the feelings behind the word.
Often times we say that we want something but don't really believe that we can have it. We say, "I want that." But we can tell in the tone of your voice that it is more of wish rather than a statement. There is still doubt in the back of your mind.
In order to get what we want, we have to portray a lot of positive emotions. The Universe responds to the emotions behind the word "want". The more excited you get about what you are wanting, the faster the Universe answers. When there is doubt, the Universe responds to that just as fast.
Start to reprogram your mind. Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of your life start forming new habits that will let you focus on the positive. Start keeping an "Abundance Log". This is a journal in which you record everything positive that happens in your life. You can talk about how you received something that you are wanting.
Go back from time to time and read your entries. You will see that you truly have a lot to be grateful for. By reading these entries, you are again offering up the positive emotions associated with that event. Now these positive emotions are included in your "Vibrational Bubble"(Read What 's In Your Vibrational Bubble to learn about your "Vibrational Bubble"). We get so bogged down in our daily routines that we forget about all the good things that are happening around us. We tend to focus on the negative.
Instead of habitually focusing on what is going wrong in your life, begin to habitually focus on the positive. These new positive vibrations will be returned to you in the form of the desires of your heart.
Take a look at this video and understand that "want" isn't a bad word. It can be the word that brings you everything in life. Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. In reading Michael Losier's best-selling book Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't, we learn that we get what we vibrate out to the Universe. It is important to know what vibrations you are giving out.
If you are struggling financially, it is because you are sending out negative vibrations about money. Every time you say don't, not, and no, the Universe responds to these words, giving you more of what you don't want. The Universe doesn't recognize if you are lying or telling the truth. It simply returns the vibration that you are offering up.
The best way to change your vibrations is with your words. Eliminate don't, not, and no from your vocabulary. By reducing the amount of times you use these words, you increase the chances of receiving what you are wanting.
Talk about what you want as if you already have it. Feel good about having it. The Universe will adhere to these new positive vibrations, and begin to give you good things based on your vibrations.
Get into the habit of being thankful. The Universe loves gratitude. The more things you can find in your life to grateful for now, the more thing you will receive to be grateful for in the future.
Here's a short video by Losier that illustrates the importance of knowing what vibrations we are sending out to the Universe. Apply this lesson to your life and you will begin to notice amazing changes. Enjoy, and thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I know I have a lot to be thankful for. Today should be an awesome day of creation. The day ask for us to be thankful so when we are thankful for what we have, the Universe will bring us more of what we are "thanking about."
One of my favorite quotes is,
"Whatever you think about, and thank about, you bring about."
This is a day to be thankful, but we should be exercising gratitude everyday. Every second if possible. Gratitude is the fuel of creation. You first have a thought, and then grow that thought with gratitude and action.
Be thankful for what you have and enjoy your day. Thanks for listening.
Gratitude Poems
by: Sri Chinmoy
Gratitude
Is at once
Beautiful
And
Fruitful.
~
A Gratitude - Heart
A gratitude-heart
Is to discover on earth
A Heaven-delivered rose.
~
Gratitude
Gratitude carries the message of Immortality
And enters into God's Heart
To see God's universal Satisfaction-Smile.
~
My Gratitude Flames
Thorns die,
Roses live.
Hate dies,
Love lives.
Desire dies,
Aspiration lives.
The human in me dies,
The divine in me lives.
My gratitude-flames
In the Heart of God
Never shall die.
Eternally they breathe,
Eternally they sport,
Eternally they manifest
The Supreme,
My Supreme.
~
Gratitude
In the life of aspiration and dedication
The gratitude-deer always runs the fastest,
Always achieves the most,
Always becomes the perfection-satisfaction
Of the highest
And
Most fulfilling and fulfilled
Supreme in us.
Gratitude is not a human achievement.
Gratitude is a divine treasure
Granted to us
By the inner Pilot within us,
The Absolute Supreme.
~
Gratitude
A desiring man
Never gets tired of offering his gratitude
To his own efforts.
An aspiring man
Never gets tired of offering his gratitude
To his own faith.
A surrendered seeker
Never gets tired of offering his gratitude
To his Lord divine.
The Lord Supreme
Never gets tired of offering His Gratitude
To His infinite Compassion.

Goal Setting - Good Idea? - Bad Idea?

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Is setting good or bad when using the Law Of Attraction(LOA)? According to Michael Losier's best-selling book Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't, there advantages and disadvantages.
The advantage to setting goals, is, every time you write or goals or talk about your goals, you are offering up positive vibrations. Goal setting gives you something concrete to work towards. Whenever you reach a specific goal, you get excited. This excitement accelerates the creation process.
The disadvantage is that, according to Losier, we tend to keep score. Say you set a goal for attracting ten new sales this week. You have never had more than five sales in a week but you are feeling good about LOA. At the beginning of the week you are very energized. You get six sales by Wednesday. Thursday you get two more for a total of eight. Friday comes along and you don't get any sales, ending your week with only eight sales.
The problem here is that you start to focus on the "only having eight sales". You look at it as if you have failed when you should be celebrating. Your prior record in a week was five sales. This week you had eight, but you still found some way to complain.
Celebrate what is in front of you. By being thankful for your eight sales, you offer up powerful positive vibrations and the Universe loves that. The Universe will begin to respond to your positive nature.
Take a look at this short video by Losier. Pick up the book and begin to apply it to your life. Set goals and celebrate every accomplishment that leads to reaching your goals and you will reach your destination faster. Thanks for listening and enjoy the video.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. This is another video by Michael Losier, author of the best-selling book, Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't.
Once we start to apply the Law Of Attraction(LOA) we have the responsibility to allow what we are asking for into our lives. Losier breaks down responsibility as "the ability to respond."
Many times people ask for what they want but they don't respond to what they are getting. Allowing is the most important part of using LOA. If you don't respond to what the Universe is giving you, all you are, is in the habit of saying daily affirmations.
Nothing comes from routine affirmation. There is no feeling behind dead repetition. Once you feel good about what you are wanting, and you have that image stamped in your subconscious, you actually have to receive it when opportunity strikes. As soon as there is an opening, jump at it. Don't delay. If the time is right, act.
Enjoy this short video from Michael Losier about responsibility.

What's In Your Vibrational Bubble?

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Yesterday I gave you a brief introduction to Michael Losier and his best-selling book, Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't. Since applying the exercises that he presents, I have greater clarity as to the direction I want to go in.
One of the subjects Losier talks about is our "Vibrational Bubble." This is how Losier's explains what a Vibrational Bubble is.
"Imagine that you have a bubble that is surrounding you and captured within this bubble are all the vibrations you are sending out. The Law of Attraction is responding to whatever is inside you Vibrational Bubble."
Losier tells us that all of our wants and dreams are outside of this Vibrational Bubble. If they were inside of your Bubble, you would already be enjoying them.
So how do we include what we want in our Vibrational Bubble when we don't have it yet? Losier gives a long list of ways to place our desires in our Vibrational Bubble. Here are a few.
"You include your desires in your Vibrational Bubble when you...
-are talking about your desire
-are daydreaming about the desire
-are visualizing your desire
-are pretending to already have the desire
-are noticing something that reminds you of your desire
-are noticing something positive
-are making a collage about your desire
-are praying for your desire
-when you celebrate evidence of your desire
It is important to keep what's in your Vibrational Bubble positive. As soon as you allow negative thoughts and actions to enter your Vibrational Bubble, these negative emotions take the place of your original ideas, and the Universe begins to respond to them instead.
Here's a short video by Michael Losier that talks about the importance of knowing what is in our Vibrational Bubble. Our emotions trigger whatever it is we get from the Universe. By deliberately offering up positive vibrations, you will begin to realize your dreams faster. Thanks for listening and enjoy the video.

How To Attract What You Want

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I just finished, Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't by Michael Losier. I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to apply the Law Of Attraction(LOA).
I have already bought copies for two of my friends so that they can apply the exercises as well. I usually let people borrow my books, but I decided it would be better for them to have their own copy. This way they wouldn't have to feel rushed. They can take their time and really apply what is discussed in the book.
LOA is working around us whether we realize it or not. It is a Law, just like there is a Law of Gravity. LOA sounds great to most people when they first hear about it. They may read or view the movie The Secret and get very excited. They may try to use the secret, but soon become frustrated when they don't get what they want.
A simple change in vocabulary and the way we think is the key to harnessing the true power of LOA. Michael Losier takes you step by step in the process of deliberately attracting what you do want. A lot of other books I have read are uplifting, but they don't tell you what to do next. All of that changes with Losier's book.
Take a look at this introductory video with Losier. Over the next three or four days, we will view other videos by Losier. These videos will give you some insight into areas where you may be getting stuck.
Pick up a copy of the book and start to apply it to your life. Since reading it, I have gone through the exercises and the results have been amazing. The Universe is now working in my favor. It is easy to see how a simple shift in thinking can make all the difference in getting more of what you want and less of what you don't want. Enjoy the video.

Hello Friends,
Here's a short story about generosity. Enjoy!
GENEROSITY
Mahatma Gandhi went from city to city, village to village collecting funds for the Charkha Sangh. During one of his tours he addressed a meeting in Orissa. After his speech a poor old woman got up. She was bent with age, her hair was grey and her clothes were in tatters. The volunteers tried to stop her, but she fought her way to the place where Gandhiji was sitting. "I must see him," she insisted and going up to Gandhiji touched his feet. Then from the folds of her sari she brought out a copper coin and placed it at his feet. Gandhiji picked up the copper coin and put it away carefully. The Charkha Sangh funds were under the charge of Jamnalal Bajaj. He asked Gandhiji for the coin but Gandhiji refused. "I keep cheques worth thousands of rupees for the Charkha Sangh," Jamnalal Bajaj said laughingly "yet you won't trust me with a copper coin." "This copper coin is worth much more than those thousands," Gandhiji said. "If a man has several lakhs and he gives away a thousand or two, it doesn't mean much. But this coin was perhaps all that the poor woman possessed. She gave me all she had. That was very generous of her. What a great sacrifice she made. That is why I value this copper coin more than a crore of rupees."

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I added a new widget to the right that says, "Save The World, One Click At A Time." I encourage all of you to click on these tabs. Once you go to the website, click on the tab that says "CLICK HERE", and you have just donated money to that charity.
You don't need to submit any personal information and it cost you nothing. The sponsors donate a certain amount of money in the name of "your click" as a trade off for advertising space. Bookmark this blog so that you can donate daily. It's a way to make a difference in a very easy way.
Every time you give, you get more of the ability to give. Remember, "whatever you give your focus to, you get more of." This is an exciting thing. Think about it. If you give, you get more of the ability to give. What this means is you have a bigger resource from which to give. Translation...The more you give, the richer you become to be able to give more. It's truly amazing when you look at it in this light.
It's alright to give for the reason of personal gain. That's the nature of the Universe. The more you help others, the more you strengthen the whole. So by you becoming wealthier, with more of the ability to help others, the whole grows. Do you see how easy it can be to keep the cycle going?
Focus on helping others, and let the Universe take over from there. As the help grows, so do we. Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Here's another story about Acts of Kindness. Enjoy.
An Act Of Kindness
Author Unknown
He was driving home one evening, on a two-lane country road. Work, in this small mid-western community, was almost as slow as his beat-up Pontiac. But he never quit looking. Ever since the Levis factory closed, he'd been unemployed, and with winter raging on, the chill had finally hit home. It was a lonely road. Not very many people had a reason to be on it, unless they were leaving. Most of his friends had already left. They had families to feed and dreams to fulfill. But he stayed on. After all, this was where he buried his mother and father. He was born here and knew the country.
He could go down this road blind, and tell you what was on either side, and with his headlights not working, that came in handy. It was starting to get dark and light snow flurries were coming down. He'd better get a move on. You know, he almost didn't see the old lady, stranded on the side of the road. But even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.
Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe, he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill that only fear can put in you. He said, "I'm here to help you m'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm. By the way, my name is Joe."
Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough Joe crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt. As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down her window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid. Joe just smiled as he closed her trunk.
She asked him how much she owed him. Any amount would have been alright with her. She had already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Joe never thought twice about the money. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way. He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance that they needed, and Joe added "...and think of me".
He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight. A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The cash register was like the telephone of an out of work actor, it didn't ring much.
Her waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed that the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Joe.
After the lady finished her meal, and the waitress went to get her change from a hundred dollar bill, the lady slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. She wondered where the lady could be, then she noticed something written on a napkin. There were tears in her eyes, when she read what the lady wrote. It said, "You don't owe me a thing, I've been there too. Someone once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here's what you do. Don't let the chain of love end with you."
Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could she have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard. She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything's gonna be alright, I love you Joe."

Failure Breeds Success

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Success is a journey. It is a bunch of peaks and valleys. And that's what makes life exciting.
"In order to succeed you must fail, so that you know what not to do the next time."
Anthony J. D'Angelo
Failure is often a good thing. It is what makes us stronger for the next challenge ahead. We must lust learn from our mistakes. The worst thing one can do is to repeat the same mistakes over and over.
So why is that we repeat the same mistakes time and time again? Here are three reasons why we may be apt to go the down into the valley, unable to find our way back to the top.
1.)No Time.
What ever you say and believe will come true. If you constantly say that you don't have time to make a change. Guess what? There will never be enoug time. As you start to focus on "no time", that is what you will get more of. The work load will begin to pile up. Your kids will seem more demanding. Your wife will start to feel neglected because you spend less quality time with her.
2.)Fear Of Change.
We tend to make "change" out to be more than it really is. The fact is, change is really easy. We just have to want to change. This is where people find it gets difficult.
Many of want to change but we don't take the steps necessary to promote change. For example. People get stuck in dead end jobs because the effort of change may be too great. What they want to do might require them to take some night classes. They may see the classes as being too big a challenge and use that as an excuse as to why they don't switch jobs. To this person if feels safer to stay with what they know.
3.)Lazy.
Laziness is the worst. You know what you have to do, yet you don't do it. "I'll do it tomorrow." We've all said this at some point. We like to sleep in. The challenge may seem to hard. It will take too long. What ever the reason, all it is, is an excuse.
When we continually make excuses we fall into a pattern. Over time these patterns become difficult to break. The worst thing that could happen, will happen. You do nothing. Life will seem so overwhelming that you will revert to the old ways. Doing nothing is so easy, but we have to remember that doing nothing, produces nothing.
To break these patterns you may want to try a 30 Day Trial as outlined by Steve Pavlina. Steve Pavlina has dedicated his life to helping people achieve their goals in all areas of life. I read his blog regularly and am a member of his forum. It is a good place to get tips from successful people who have gone through it and are willing to share their "secret."
A 30 Day Trial is a powerful way to break any unhealthy patterns that you have. It is also a way to form positive patterns as well. Patterns are not always negative. Pick an area in your life that needs work and got to work for 30 days. You can apply this in all aspects of life.
If you want to attract new friendships, make it a point to meet someone new everyday for the next 30 days. If you want to stop drinking coffee, give it up for 30 days. Whatever it may be. You'll soon realize that as you get closer to the 30th day, it will be easier. All of the old patterns will be gone, replaced with new positive ones.
Once you see it work in one aspect of your life, move on to the next, and so on. It's time to break the patterns that cause us to consistently fail. Success is only 30 days away.
Thanks for listening.

When Opportunity Knocks, Go With The Flow

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Here's a wonderful piece I found on Youtube. It features a voice over of Esther Hicks. The producer did a good job with this presentation.
Once you decide what it is you want to do in life, you have to go with the flow. The Universe will provide the easiest path to your wants. We must align ourselves with what is on the way.
If you go against the flow, you are creating resistance. The Universe will begin to adhere to this new resistance, leaving your original goals no chance of being realized.
Have you ever tried to swim upstream of a flowing river? It is very difficult. At times impossible. You don't want to tire yourself out by going against the current. You may still get there but you won't have the energy to act once you do.
Let the Universe work its "magic". Once the opportunity presents itself...ACT! Don't hesitate. Lack of action is what keeps people going around in circles, always reverting to same old bad habits.
Enjoy the video. Apply it to your personal situation. Be ready to act so that you can "Go With The Flow". Thanks for listening.

Visitor Quote Of The Week: Great Britain

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Today we visit Great Britain. Our quote comes from Winston Churchill "who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. A noted statesman, orator and strategist, Churchill was also an officer in the British Army. A prolific author, he won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953 for his own historical writings."
"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."
Winston Churchill
I'm sure a lot of you have all played some version of the "Telephone Game" or "The Gossip Game." It is an exercise which demonstrates how quickly information can be distorted.
The exercise starts with twenty people or so who sit in a circle. One person whispers a secret into the ear of the person next to them. That person whispers the same secret to the person next to them and so on until you get the last person. The last person has to tell the group what the original secret was. I have never been in a group in which the last person got it right.
This exercise demonstrates how quickly information can be lost as it is passed from one person to the next. Spreading lies or gossiping can be very harmful.
Sometimes people tell lies to make their situation better. Say someone is up for a new job. They embellish on their resume to make themselves look better. The better they look on paper, the better their chances of landing the job.
Some people lie to protect others. Say you have a girlfriend who just got a new haircut that looks horrible. You tell her that it looks good to spare her feelings even thought you know it looks hideous.
Some people lie just to be hurtful. For some reason there are people in this world who gravitate towards dishonest things, and use lies to hurt and deceive. Individuals such as con-artists will at first, appear to be helpful, but in the end they were only helping themselves.
All three of these situations are bad. The person with the fake resume will be found out one day when he asked to do something he doesn't know how to do even though it said on his resume that he was an "expert" in this field.
The girlfriend will quickly find out that her haircut is ugly when she notices that the people around her are laughing and talking behind her back. She will become angry with the boyfriend for not being honest even though he was trying to protect her.
The con-artist will eventually get caught. They always do. It may be after making a lot of money initially, but the fall they take is usually a hard one.
Lies always lead to hurt even when you are trying to protect someone. It is always better to be truthful in all situations. The trick is to put yourself in situations where you don't have to lie. Once the lie gets rolling, it picks up momentum. Now you have to lie to cover up another lie. And so on, and so on.
So, spread love not lies. Love will always make it around the circle.
Thanks for listening.

Once the lie gets rolling, it picks up momentum. Now you have to lie to cover up another lie. And so on, and so on.
So, spread love not lies. Love will always make it around the circle.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I came across this quote from an unknown author. It's simple, but important to remember in order to reach your goals.
"It is your Attitude not
Aptitude that will determine
your Altitude in life."
Your attitiude is a reflection of what is going on inside yor mind. Your attitude is what sets the stage for the outcomes in your life. A lot of times we are told that it is what we know that will determine our success. Some say it's who you know. Neither of these will bring you success if people don't want to be around you.
A positive attitude is important in achieving your goals. You may have all the educaton in the world. All the know-how. If you go into the project with a negative attitude, you will get negative results. With a negative mindset you may not even complete the project.
We should all be reaching for new heights. We need to continue to nurture our minds. A positive attitude puts you in the right direction. Others will want to work with you. Partnerships wil be formed. It is so much easier to be productive under these conditions than under negative situations.
How high do you want to go? That is determined by you. No one should be able to dictate your attitude. Take complete control of your mind. Shy away from negative thoughts. Be giving. And be thankful when positive result occur. This will ensure many more pleasurable moments.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Here are some quotes about happiness. Enjoy.
Happiness resides not in posessions and not in gold; the feeling of happiness dwells in the soul.
Democritus
In the hopes of reaching the moon men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet.
Albert Schweitzer
Happiness is not achieved by the conscious pursuit of happiness; it is generally the by-product of other activities.
Aldous Huxley
The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions—the little soon-forgotten charities of a kiss, a smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment in the disguise of a playful raillery, and the countless other infinitessimals of pleasurable thought and genial feeling.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Men spend their lives in anticipations,—in determining to be vastly happy at some period when they have time. But the present time has one advantage over every other—it is our own. Past opportunities are gone, future have not come. We may lay in a stock of pleasures, as we would lay in a stock of wine; but if we defer the tasting of them too long, we shall find that both are soured by age.
Charles Caleb Colton
Who is the happiest of men? He who values the merits of others, and in their pleasure takes joy, even as though 'twere his own.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The chances are that you have already come to believe that happiness is unattainable. But men have attained it. And they have attained it by realising that happiness does not spring from the procuring of physical or mental pleasure, but from the development of reason and the adjustment of conduct to principles.
from How to Live on 24 Hours a Day. by Arnold Bennett
Fortify yourself with contentment, for this is an impregnable fortress.
Epictetus
Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of mind than on outward circumstances.
Benjamin Franklin
There is only one way to happiness, and that is to cease worrying things which are beyond the power of our will.
Epictetus
I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than attempting to satisfy them.
John Stuart Mills

To Love Another
For one human being to love another human being: that is perhaps the most difficult task that has been entrusted to us, the ultimate task, the final test and proof, the work for which all other work is merely preparation. Loving does not at first mean merging, surrendering, and uniting with another person -- it is a high inducement for the individual to ripen, to become something in himself, to become a world in himself for the sake of another person; it is a great, demanding claim on him, something that chooses him and calls him to vast distances.
Rainer Maria Rilke

An Inspirational Story, Motivational Story -
A Simple Gesture
by Jackie Sagner
A little boy selling magazines for school walked up to a house that people rarely visited. The house was very old and run down and the owner hardly ever came out. When he did come out he would not say hello to neighbors or passers by but simply just glare at them.
The boy knocked on the door and waited, sweating from fear of the old man. The boy's parents told him to stay away from the house, a lot of the other neighborhood children were told the same from their parents.
As he was ready to walk away, the door slowly opened. " What do you want?" the old man said. The little boy was very afraid but he had a quota to meet for school with selling the magazines.
"Uh, sir, I uh am selling these magazines and uh I was wondering if you would like to buy one." The old man just stared at the boy. The boy could see inside the old man's house and saw that he had dog figurines on the fireplace mantle. "Do you collect dogs?" the little boy asked. "Yes, I have many collectibles in my house, they are my family here, they are all I have." The boy then felt sorry for the man, as it seemed that he was a very lonely soul. "Well, I do have a magazine here for collectors, it is perfect for you, I also have one about dogs since you like dogs so much." The old man was ready to close the door on the boy and said, "No boy, I don't need any magazines of any kind, now goodbye."
The little boy was sad that he was not going to make his quota with the sale. He was also sad for the old man being so alone in the big house that he owned. The boy went home and then had an idea. He had a little dog figure that he got some years ago from an aunt. The figurine did not mean nearly as much to him since he had a real live dog and a large family. The boy headed back down to the old man's house with the figurine. He knocked on the door again and this time the old man came right to the door. "Boy, I thought I told you no magazines."
"No, sir I know that, I wanted to bring you a gift." The boy handed him the figurine and the old man's face lit up. "It is a Golden Retriever, I have one at home, this one is for you." The old man was simply stunned; no one had ever given him such a gift and shown him so much kindness. "Boy, you have a big heart, why are you doing this?" The boy smiled at the man and said, "Because you like dogs."
From that day on the old man started coming out of the house and acknowledging people. He and the boy became friends; the boy even brought his dog to see the man weekly.
This simple gesture changed both of their lives forever.

Hello friends,
Hope all is well. We all want someone that understands what we are going through. What appears to be the best or brightest on the surface may not be right for us. Here's an great story about finding your perfect match. Enjoy.
PUPPIES FOR SALE!!!
A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the pups and set about Nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he Felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the Eyes of a little boy.
Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer.
And with that he let out a whistle,"Here,Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.
As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared; this One noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself To a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need Someone who understands."
The world is full of people who need someone who understands.

Visitor Quote Of The Week: Canada

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Today we visit Canada. I have a been to Canada on two different occasions. There is a big Caribbean community that resides in Canada. I was born on the island of Trinidad and we have friends that relocated in Toronto for the many opportunities that this city offers.
Niagara falls is something to behold. The amount a raw and flexible energy produced by this natural wonder is symbolic of the flexibility of the people of Canada. Our quote comes not from a Canadian , but from someone speaking about Canada.
"I am deeply moved by the warmth and courage of the Canadian people which I felt so strongly during my recent visit to your country. Your support of the struggle against apartheid restored me in my journey home and reassured me that many just people around the world are with us."
Archbishop Desmond Tutu
Desmond Tutu is an ambassador for peace. He fought against Apartheid, campaigning around the world to make people aware of the injustice in South Africa.
Tutu compliments the people of Canada for being tolerant of other cultures. When I was doing research for this post, I came across many quotes that spoke to the willingness to let foreigners make a life for themselves in their land.
I have had many friends of different cultures that have called Canada home. Despite their cultural differences, their was still a universal pride in their country.
This flexibility is something that we can all learn from. We have to be supportive of each other no matter what our background may be. We all have a common thread. A common bond. Realizing this, we can be reassured that there are still many just people around the world.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I have a big day with a lot of errands to run. I wanted to make sure I stopped in to at least say hello. I have enjoyed writing and sharing with my readers so I feel kind of empty if I miss a day. Even though I haven't met many of you, I feel as thought we are family. Have a good day and I'll see you tomorrow. Ponder This.

What Kind Of House Do You Live In?

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I was thinking about the kind of life I wanted to live from now on. I came across this short story that teaches us a very important lesson. We are the builders of our house. The house is our life.
What kind of life are you building for yourself? Are you building a house of depression. A house of procrastination. A house of self doubt. If you are, it is not too late to renovate. You have the ability to make the necessary changes to improve your life. Why make your life a one room shack when you could have a ten room mansion. Build the house that is deserving of you. You really do deserve it. It is up to you to bring yourself to a place where you believe it.
Enjoy this story and thanks for listening.
Building Your House
Author Unknown
An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He would miss the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by.
The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.
When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."
The carpenter was shocked!
What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.
So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently.
But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely!
