Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Here are some quotes about happiness. Enjoy.
Happiness resides not in posessions and not in gold; the feeling of happiness dwells in the soul.
Democritus
In the hopes of reaching the moon men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet.
Albert Schweitzer
Happiness is not achieved by the conscious pursuit of happiness; it is generally the by-product of other activities.
Aldous Huxley
The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions—the little soon-forgotten charities of a kiss, a smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment in the disguise of a playful raillery, and the countless other infinitessimals of pleasurable thought and genial feeling.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Men spend their lives in anticipations,—in determining to be vastly happy at some period when they have time. But the present time has one advantage over every other—it is our own. Past opportunities are gone, future have not come. We may lay in a stock of pleasures, as we would lay in a stock of wine; but if we defer the tasting of them too long, we shall find that both are soured by age.
Charles Caleb Colton
Who is the happiest of men? He who values the merits of others, and in their pleasure takes joy, even as though 'twere his own.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The chances are that you have already come to believe that happiness is unattainable. But men have attained it. And they have attained it by realising that happiness does not spring from the procuring of physical or mental pleasure, but from the development of reason and the adjustment of conduct to principles.
from How to Live on 24 Hours a Day. by Arnold Bennett
Fortify yourself with contentment, for this is an impregnable fortress.
Epictetus
Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of mind than on outward circumstances.
Benjamin Franklin
There is only one way to happiness, and that is to cease worrying things which are beyond the power of our will.
Epictetus
I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than attempting to satisfy them.
John Stuart Mills

To Love Another
For one human being to love another human being: that is perhaps the most difficult task that has been entrusted to us, the ultimate task, the final test and proof, the work for which all other work is merely preparation. Loving does not at first mean merging, surrendering, and uniting with another person -- it is a high inducement for the individual to ripen, to become something in himself, to become a world in himself for the sake of another person; it is a great, demanding claim on him, something that chooses him and calls him to vast distances.
Rainer Maria Rilke

An Inspirational Story, Motivational Story -
A Simple Gesture
by Jackie Sagner
A little boy selling magazines for school walked up to a house that people rarely visited. The house was very old and run down and the owner hardly ever came out. When he did come out he would not say hello to neighbors or passers by but simply just glare at them.
The boy knocked on the door and waited, sweating from fear of the old man. The boy's parents told him to stay away from the house, a lot of the other neighborhood children were told the same from their parents.
As he was ready to walk away, the door slowly opened. " What do you want?" the old man said. The little boy was very afraid but he had a quota to meet for school with selling the magazines.
"Uh, sir, I uh am selling these magazines and uh I was wondering if you would like to buy one." The old man just stared at the boy. The boy could see inside the old man's house and saw that he had dog figurines on the fireplace mantle. "Do you collect dogs?" the little boy asked. "Yes, I have many collectibles in my house, they are my family here, they are all I have." The boy then felt sorry for the man, as it seemed that he was a very lonely soul. "Well, I do have a magazine here for collectors, it is perfect for you, I also have one about dogs since you like dogs so much." The old man was ready to close the door on the boy and said, "No boy, I don't need any magazines of any kind, now goodbye."
The little boy was sad that he was not going to make his quota with the sale. He was also sad for the old man being so alone in the big house that he owned. The boy went home and then had an idea. He had a little dog figure that he got some years ago from an aunt. The figurine did not mean nearly as much to him since he had a real live dog and a large family. The boy headed back down to the old man's house with the figurine. He knocked on the door again and this time the old man came right to the door. "Boy, I thought I told you no magazines."
"No, sir I know that, I wanted to bring you a gift." The boy handed him the figurine and the old man's face lit up. "It is a Golden Retriever, I have one at home, this one is for you." The old man was simply stunned; no one had ever given him such a gift and shown him so much kindness. "Boy, you have a big heart, why are you doing this?" The boy smiled at the man and said, "Because you like dogs."
From that day on the old man started coming out of the house and acknowledging people. He and the boy became friends; the boy even brought his dog to see the man weekly.
This simple gesture changed both of their lives forever.

Hello friends,
Hope all is well. We all want someone that understands what we are going through. What appears to be the best or brightest on the surface may not be right for us. Here's an great story about finding your perfect match. Enjoy.
PUPPIES FOR SALE!!!
A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the pups and set about Nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he Felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the Eyes of a little boy.
Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer.
And with that he let out a whistle,"Here,Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.
As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared; this One noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself To a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need Someone who understands."
The world is full of people who need someone who understands.

Visitor Quote Of The Week: Canada

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Today we visit Canada. I have a been to Canada on two different occasions. There is a big Caribbean community that resides in Canada. I was born on the island of Trinidad and we have friends that relocated in Toronto for the many opportunities that this city offers.
Niagara falls is something to behold. The amount a raw and flexible energy produced by this natural wonder is symbolic of the flexibility of the people of Canada. Our quote comes not from a Canadian , but from someone speaking about Canada.
"I am deeply moved by the warmth and courage of the Canadian people which I felt so strongly during my recent visit to your country. Your support of the struggle against apartheid restored me in my journey home and reassured me that many just people around the world are with us."
Archbishop Desmond Tutu
Desmond Tutu is an ambassador for peace. He fought against Apartheid, campaigning around the world to make people aware of the injustice in South Africa.
Tutu compliments the people of Canada for being tolerant of other cultures. When I was doing research for this post, I came across many quotes that spoke to the willingness to let foreigners make a life for themselves in their land.
I have had many friends of different cultures that have called Canada home. Despite their cultural differences, their was still a universal pride in their country.
This flexibility is something that we can all learn from. We have to be supportive of each other no matter what our background may be. We all have a common thread. A common bond. Realizing this, we can be reassured that there are still many just people around the world.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I have a big day with a lot of errands to run. I wanted to make sure I stopped in to at least say hello. I have enjoyed writing and sharing with my readers so I feel kind of empty if I miss a day. Even though I haven't met many of you, I feel as thought we are family. Have a good day and I'll see you tomorrow. Ponder This.

What Kind Of House Do You Live In?
Posted by

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I was thinking about the kind of life I wanted to live from now on. I came across this short story that teaches us a very important lesson. We are the builders of our house. The house is our life.
What kind of life are you building for yourself? Are you building a house of depression. A house of procrastination. A house of self doubt. If you are, it is not too late to renovate. You have the ability to make the necessary changes to improve your life. Why make your life a one room shack when you could have a ten room mansion. Build the house that is deserving of you. You really do deserve it. It is up to you to bring yourself to a place where you believe it.
Enjoy this story and thanks for listening.
Building Your House
Author Unknown
An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He would miss the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by.
The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.
When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."
The carpenter was shocked!
What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.
So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently.
But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely!

Take The Thirty Second Quiz

Hello friends,
Hope all is well. I was thinking about the people who have made a positive impact on my life. My parents. My teachers. A supervisor I once had. I've been fortunate to have had people around who cared enough to push me to do better. These people helped to nurture my dreams. I have many more aspirations and I'm thankful for the people that will come into my life in the future.
Here's a quick quiz, that will help you identify who has really made an impact on your life.
The Thirty Second Quiz
Author Unknown
Don't bother getting a pen and paper... just read... if you can't
answer them, just keep going.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer prize.
5. Name the last five Academy Award winners for Best Actor and Actress.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remembers the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They're the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Now here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. Name three teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worth while.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
The lesson?
The people who make a difference in your life aren't the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They're the ones who care.
So who are the people in your life that have helped you along the way? These are the individuals that make life a joy to live. Take a moment to call one of those people who have inspired you and thank them. They will really appreciate it.
Thanks for listening.

How I Attracted 36 Cents

Hello Friends,
I have no doubt now that we attract what we think about. The slightest thought can trigger a chain of events. It can really blow your mind when something happens that you remember you had been thinking about.
I went to work at the restaurant on Wednesday night. I bring a newspaper with the crossword puzzle because it is usually a slow shift. When I got to work, I realized that I had left my wallet at home and didn't even have 35 cents to get the paper. I was bummed.
I went about helping the early crew clean up for shift change. One server left without cleaning up her table so I had to clean it. I was a little annoyed, but there was nothing else to do, so...no big deal.
I picked up the the last plate on the table and guess what was there? 36 cents. An extra penny for good measure. I immediately got the chills. I remembered this quote:
"We our creating our existence with our thoughts"
I just kind of laughed to myself. A simple thought of having the 35 cents triggered the Universe into motion. I don't believe in coincidences anymore. The Universe responded to my thought because nothing obstructed my initial want. Had I gotten upset that I forgot my wallet and let that get to me, these negative thoughts would have trumped my first thought.
These are the little lesson that I am learning everyday. Now that I am conscious of what is around me, it easier to understand that the Universe wants us to be prosperous and to share that prosperity with others. Be thankful for what you have. Give to others, and you will attract the same onto yourself.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Our quote comes from someone we have all heard of, Mohandas Gandhi.
"We must become the change we want to see in the world."
Everything in your existence begins from within. Gandhi knew this and instructs us to work on ourselves first. This is something I had to do and am still working on. Much of what I write in this blog is really for myself. It is a reminder that I need to be applying these concepts to my own life. My hope is that readers will be inspired as well in some shape or form.
Here's a short story that illustrates the importance of being the change that we want to see in the world. Enjoy.
Start With Yourself
Author Unknown
When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.
But, it too, seemed immovable.
As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.
And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed my self first, then by example I would have changed my family.
From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Today we visit "the land down under; Australia. I've been fortunate to have been associated with people from Australia. In college, I became acquainted with two film exchange students.
These two young women were some of the liveliest, kindest, and smartest people I have ever met. They kept me one my toes with sarcastic whit and humor. They weren't afraid to voice their opinions and stand by them, a trait I was told by them, is one that could be found in many in the Australian culture.
I have yet to visit Australia, but it is high on my list of places I need to see before it's all said and done. Today's quote comes from two authors, Michael Page and Robert Inapen.
"The true Aussie battler and his wife thrust doggedly onwards: starting again, failing again, implacably thrusting towards success. For success, even if it is only the success of knowing that one has tried to the utmost and never surrendered, is the target of every battler."
I was immediately drawn to this quote. This is one that we can all adopt into our lifestyle. This passage reminds us that it is alright to fail. The key is to get right back at it and try again.
Success is often measured by the amount of failures it took to get there. If everything came easily, I don't think that we would thoroughly appreciate what we have. The struggle is what makes everything more valuable when our goals are attained.
I like the fact that in this quote, strength is drawn from family. The "true Aussie battler and his wife" can accomplish anything when united. Once you have that connection , there isn't much that can stand in your way.
From this we can remember that we are all family. We are all connected. Press forward. Help your brothers and sisters. When we help each other we help ourselves. Be like an "Aussie Battler".
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends. Hope all is well. Today's quote comes from William Feather who was an American publisher and author, based in Cleveland, Ohio.
"No man is a failure who is enjoying life."
William Feather
I was thinking about how I could enjoy life more. The first thing that popped into my mind was that if I had more money, I would be happier. Money isn't everything, but it makes things a whole lot easier.
I thought about all the ways that I could make more money. The more I thought about it, the more negativity crept in. I would think about an idea and almost immediately, I would think of a reason why I couldn't do it. I thought about all the ways a project could fail before even getting started.
So I started to think that I was going about this all wrong. I was focusing on the wrong thing. The Universe is infinitely abundant(Visit my other blog Articles Of Intent: Abundance & Accumulation to read more about abundance). I was looking at money as the source of abundance, but as they say, "money isn't everything."
There are many aspects of life that can and need to be enjoyed. Your health is something to be enjoyed. Go out and take a walk. Take up a spin class. When you you are healthy, you are more productive and energized.
Make a new friend. "When you make a friend, you destroy an enemy." Friends can stimulate you to do new and innovative things. Don't be a hermit. There is a lot to do out there that you would otherwise miss if you stayed in the house all day.
Get out and enjoy life. Abundance is found in all aspects of life. When you tap into all of them, you will feel fulfilled. People and opportunities will be attracted to you. Just be ready to act on these opportunities. Success is right around the corner if you participate in this game we call life.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Our quote of the day is a common one in the Law Of Attraction circles. It is an important step to getting what you want out of life.
"When you visualize, you materialize."
I've been really experimenting with visualization for the past week or so. I work at a restaurant of a few nights a week to earn some extra cash. In the past I would go to work and think about how much I wanted to make for that shift. Sometimes I would reach my goal, sometimes I would be way short. On the days I was short, I would become frustrated. I would think, "I'm thinking about what I want." "I'm, trying to feel good about it." So what was I doing wrong?
I came across an article that help me put things into perspective. I wasn't letting go. I would think about what I wanted, but then I would hold on to it for the entire shift.
If I had a bad tipper, I would get upset. Then I would start to think about what the next person would have to tip me in order to make up for what the last person didn't. Then I would start to think that the next person is never going to tip enough to cover the last. Then I'd get another bad customer and the cycle of negativity would start to pick up steam. By the end of the shift I would be upset and frustrated and nowhere close to my goal.
I had to change my mind-set. What I try to do now is to think of the amount that I want to make. I write it on a piece of paper along with the words "love" and "thanks." I close my eyes for a few minutes and actually visualize myself at the end of the shift feeling good about reaching my goal. I then put the piece of paper into my back pocket and forget about.
The Universe is always going to answer your thoughts. Before I started letting go, I would focus on the final number. If things weren't going well early, a lot of negative thoughts would start to creep in. These negative thoughts started to take over my mind and the Universe began to react to those thoughts. I started thinking about all my horrible customers and that's exactly what the Universe gave me more of.
Now that I just release my intentions into the Universe, I have been able to reach my goals a whole lot easier. By letting go and just trusting that I would reach my goal, my attitude at work has improved because I'm already in a grateful mood. This positive attitude resonates with my customers and they are so much more amicable.
For my last shift, I visualized myself making $275.00. I went through my routine and released it to the Universe. I had a great night. My customers were great. No problems with my co-workers. Everything went smoothly.
At the end of the night I counted up my tips and finished with only $270.00. I was $5 short but I wasn't upset at all. $5 was nothing. I was happy with what I had made.
The next day I was cleaning my turtle tank and had to dump out the dirty water in the back alley. As I was walking back inside, I looked at ground and a $5 bill was laying there. Freaky huh? Not really.
I think the $5 bill materialized because I didn't stress the fact that I was short of my goal. I stayed in a positive mode, not allowing negative thoughts to take over. Because there was no negativity, the Universe continued to grant my desires.
The lesson I learned is that the Universe is going to answer. I should not put a time limit on the Universe. Be grateful when the Universe answers. By being thankful, the Universe will complete your request when the time is right. I know the Universe gave me the $5 bill the next day to teach me this lesson. So to the Universe, I say, THANK YOU!!! And to you I say...
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Many of our quotes, poems, and short stories have been about positive thinking. Positive thinking is good and all, but what I'm realizing is that the true power is in the feelings behind those thoughts. Feeling and being greatful for your intentions is what fuels manifestation.
The following are two clips from the Larry King Live Show. It features some of the top names in the study of the Law Of Attraction. These are great lessons to live by regardless of your beliefs. I can find no fault in positive thinking...and now... beyond.
Enjoy.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I came across this brief lecture by Esther Hicks. Hicks is an inspirational speaker, and best-selling author on the subject of Law of Attraction. I decided to put it on my other blog, Articles of Intent as well. It is a powerful message letting us know why we sometimes experience hardship and trials. It is all a journey. A learning process. How we react to life will be the true measure of our character.
Go to www.abraham-hicks.com to listen to what Esther Hicks has to say. I think you'll be inspired. Enjoy.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Here's a great poem about not giving up. There are times in your life when circumstances will be difficult. Your character will be judged on how you react to these situations. The important thing to remember is to persevere no matter the situation. In the words of Jim Valvano, former Head Coach for the North Carolina State Wolfpack basketball team, "Don't give up, don't ever give up."
Don’t Quit
When things go wrong; as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You might succeed with another blow,
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem the worst that you must not quit.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Here's a nice passage reminding us to draw strength from within. Enjoy.
Everything we need is all inside
Grass grows
No one tells it
How to grow to.
River gently winds
Downstream.
No one tells it
How to flow to.
Seeds fall from the tree.
Embedded into the earth.
Flourishes into new life
Again and again.
No one reminds that it's
Time to plant.
The ocean waves
Ebbs to and fro
In natural rhythm
With the moon.
A curious and peaceful dance.
No directions included.
Sun rises in the east.
It sets in the west.
Stars light up the evening sky.
No one tells them
How to glow.
No one asks them why.
The earth spins
Effortlessly
On its axis
Rocking gently
Through the day
And into the night
In perfect rotation.
No batteries included.
The body gives life.
The body ends life.
Naturally.
And knows to make love
Sometimes in the back
Of an old Chevy.
Children play.
No one tells them
It's how they learn.
They simply know
How to.
Mama Kitty cares for
Her young
And Mama Bird
Tends to her nest.
No manual.
Intelligence in every cell.
The universe perfect
In every way.
Whole.
Pure.
Divine wisdom
And perfect
Miracle.
All knowing without trying.
No struggles.
Effortlessly like God herself.
Creating.
Trusting the perfection inside.
All knowledge.
All knowing. All inside.
One tiny cell.
One tiny perfect cell.
It's all inside. All things.
All times. All of all.
It's all inside.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. The number of countries visiting this blog is growing. Thank you for viewing. My intention is that these words will be able to help somebody in some way. Today marks the second installment of the "Visitor Quote Of The Week." Our quote comes South Africa. Blessings to the people of South Africa.
“When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive”
Alan Paton quotes (South African Writer and Educator, 1903-1988)
When you are hurt by someone it can be hard to recover. Especially if it is someone that you love or respect. You don't expect someone you like to hurt you, so it is even more devastating
As humans, we tend to hold grudges. Even if the person who has wronged us is asking for forgiveness, we sometimes hold it over their heads. Whether it's because you're really hurt or want to hurt them back, it is better to get over it and try to mend the relationship.
Relationships, romantic or otherwise are built on communication. When people stop talking to each other they tend to listen to other people to get information. Then it becomes "he said, she said." We all know what happens when we listen to rumors.
It is better to talk to the person that hurt you and get it out in the open. When that person asks for your forgiveness, be willing to accept it, even in extreme situations(I know it may be very difficult).
Forgiveness completes the healing process. Remember that we are all connected. When you hurt someone else you are ultimately hurting yourself. Start communicating again. Re-connect with a loved one. "Every time you make a friend, you destroy an enemy."
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I ran across this video on youtube. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale (May 31, 1898 – December 24, 1993) was a Protestant preacher and author of The Power of Positive Thinking (minature edition). Dr. Peale talks about ways to promote positive thinking. Check out the video. The quality of the video isn't that great, but the message is. Enjoy.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. The quote of the day comes from the movie The Secret. It's one of my favorites from the movie.
"Whatever you THINK about and THANK about you BRING about."
This is the formula for speeding up the creation process. We are all creating are existence on a daily basis. We can't help it. We are always thinking. Knowing this, we have to be careful what we are thinking about because our minds are that powerful.
When you want something you are obviously thinking about it so that part of the process is easy. The next thing to remember is to be thankful for what you are about to receive. Being thankful and actually living in the moment puts the wheels in motion. Being thankful puts you in a good mood. When you are feeling good about something, negative thoughts won't creep in. It is these negative thoughts that supersede your original thoughts.
Being truly thankful and having a positive attitude will "bring" about your desires. You have to be ready once you receive the blessing. A lot of people get upset because they don't see any results. The fact of the matter is that the answer may be right in front of them but they may be hesitant to receive the blessing.
So what are you thinking about? Are you thankful for it? Are you ready to receive it when it is comes? These are the questions you should be asking yourself when in the creation process.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I have a new blog that I'm very excited about. It's called Articles Of Intent. It is a blog dedicated to providing you with valuable articles and tools about the Law of Attraction (LoA). LoA is something that we live with everyday. It is difficult at first to harness the power of LoA. This is a blog that will help you along in the process.
Thanks for visiting this blog. It is my intention to connect with many more like-minded people through both of these sites. Follow the link under My Other Blog to check out Articles Of Intent.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. Here's a poem on miracles. Cherish every moment you have.
Miracles
BY
Walt Whitman
Why, who makes much of a miracle?
As to me I know of nothing else but miracles,
Whether I walk the streets of Manhattan,
Or dart my sight over the roofs of houses toward the sky,
Or wade with naked feet along the beach just in the edge of the water,
Or stand under trees in the woods,
Or talk by day with any one I love, or sleep in the bed at night
with any one I love,
Or sit at table at dinner with the rest,
Or look at strangers opposite me riding in the car,
Or watch honey-bees busy around the hive of a summer forenoon,
Or animals feeding in the fields,
Or birds, or the wonderfulness of insects in the air,
Or the wonderfulness of the sundown, or of stars shining so quiet
and bright,
Or the exquisite delicate thin curve of the new moon in spring;
These with the rest, one and all, are to me miracles,
The whole referring, yet each distinct and in its place.
To me every hour of the light and dark is a miracle,
Every cubic inch of space is a miracle,
Every square yard of the surface of the earth is spread with the same,
Every foot of the interior swarms with the same.
To me the sea is a continual miracle,
The fishes that swim--the rocks--the motion of the waves--the
ships with men in them,
What stranger miracles are there?
Hope all is well. Here's a poem on miracles. Cherish every moment you have.

"Life is without meaning.
You bring the meaning to it.

Being alive is the meaning."

Visitor Quote Of The Week: The Netherlands

Country Of The Week

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. About a week ago I introduced the "country count" at the top right hand corner of the page. This is how many countries have visited this blog. I would like to thank all of you who have visited. I'm excited for the future. My hope is that all countries and backgrounds will realize that even though we are unique and different, we are all linked together.
Every Friday we'll look at a quote from one of the countries that have visited this blog. I'll start with the country that visits the blog the most and go from there. I'm located in Florida so obviously the most viewers are from the States. So I'll start with the next country which is The Netherlands. Thanks for visiting!
"If you keep thinking about what you want to do or what you hope will happen, you don't do it, and it won't happen. "
-Desiderius Erasmus (October 27, 1466/1469 – July 12, 1536)
Desiderius Erasmus was a Dutch humanist and theologian. He also wrote The Praise of Folly, Handbook of a Christian Knight, On Civility in Children, Copia: Foundations of the Abundant Style, and many other works. This quote is similar to the blog I posted a few days ago titled "Pursuit Of Happiness."
I was talking to a friend of mine about the Law Of Attraction(LOA) the other day. He was saying that I shouldn't take the movie "The Secret" or LOA seriously. He thought that it was misleading to tell people that if they think about something it will magically appear.
I think that my friend and a lot of people miss the point when it comes to LOA. LOA says that "like attracts like." Our thoughts are what is attracting the events in our lives. Some people get confused because they think of something that they want and just wait for something to happen. When nothing happens they get discouraged and criticize LOA.
The problem with this is approach is that there is no action. First you have the thought, but then you have to be ready when opportunity hits. Say you want to attract an extra $1000 this week. A lot of people think that $1000 is just supposed to fall out of the sky. It doesn't work that way. What may happen is that you can have a $1000 idea.
In the movie, "The Secret," one of the speakers talks about how he wanted to attract $100,000 in one year. He didn't know how, but he made it his intention. One day he got an idea to promote a book that he had written years before. This was his $100,000 idea. He didn't make $100,000 that year. He only made $92,000. Do you think he was upset? The man is Jack Canfield, author of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Living Your Dreams. His $100,000 idea has made him millions.
The Universe loves action. When an idea hits you, act on it. This could be your breakthrough. It is hard to focus because of all the distractions that come our way. Don't limit yourself. If you let someone tell you that it can't be done, you'll believe it and you could miss your opportunity.
Keep thinking about what you want out of life. There's nothing wrong with that. Our thoughts shape our existence. Just be ready to act when you have an opportunity to shine. Erasmus also said, "No one respects a talent that is concealed. " Let your talents be seen. Show the world what you've got.
Thanks for listening.

Are You Responsible?

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I was browsing around looking for quotes and I came across this poem by Charles Osgood. He has authored and co-authored many books including Funny Letters from Famous People.
There was a most important job that needed to be done,
And no reason not to do it, there was absolutely none.
But in vital matters such as this, the thing you have to ask
Is who exactly will it be who'll carry out the task?
Anybody could have told you that everybody knew
That this was something somebody would surely have to do.
Nobody was unwilling; anybody had the ability.
But nobody believed that it was their responsibility.
It seemed to be a job that anybody could have done,
If anybody thought he was supposed to be the one.
But since everybody recognized that anybody could,
Everybody took for granted that somebody would.
But nobody told anybody that we are aware of,
That he would be in charge of seeing it was taken care of.
And nobody took it on himself to follow through,
And do what everybody thought that somebody would do.
When what everybody needed so did not get done at all,
Everybody was complaining that somebody dropped the ball.
Anybody then could see it was an awful crying shame,
And everybody looked around for somebody to blame.
Somebody should have done the job
And Everybody should have,
But in the end Nobody did
What Anybody could have.
Responsibility is something that we all have to face on a daily basis. We have to realize that our thoughts create the life that we live. When we make up excuses, we are not being honest with ourselves. This is why people get confused and discouraged when they try and manifest something and it doesn't come to fruition.
Our thoughts preside over everything else. We may be saying all the right things but if we don't truly believe that you can reach your goal, you never will.
I heard a story of a lady who was trying to lose weight. She exercised. Ate less. Stuck to her diet. Still, she wasn't losing the weight. She was actually gaining weight. She became very discouraged and gave up. She began eating even more.
Some time later she again gave thought to losing weight. She decided this time to really focus her intentions and her thoughts on losing the weight. She began to "think" thin. Her attitude changed and she actually began to lose weight without exercising.
By taking responsibility for her condition, she was a able to deal with the guilt and shame that she associated with being overweight. Now she combines exercise with with a positive attitude and has made remarkable progress.
This shows how your attitude can have an positive or adverse affect on our physical body. If you constantly display negative emotions your body will begin to break down. The good thing is that keeping a positive attitude, keeps you healthy.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I am currently reading The True Power of Water: Healing and Discovering Ourselves by Masaru Emoto. It is a fascinating book about the nature of water. Through years of study, Emoto discovered that water properties can be changed by external forces.
When frozen, water forms different shaped ice crystals depending on what emotion is projected on it. Emoto made it his life's work to study this phenomenon. He has traveled world wide studying water form all corners of the earth.
I am not done with the book yet, so I can't do it justice. Take a look at the following videos. They will give some insight into the research that has been done so far.
The first is an interview with Masaru Emoto. He talks about the steps that lead him to this discovery.
The second is a slide show with pictures showing the different crystals that are formed as result of a specific emotion being projected on the water. Amazing Stuff!
P.S. I'm going to try the experiment that is featured in the video. Let me know if you try it along with your results. Enjoy.

Hello Friends,
Hope all is well. I just finished reading Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach. Lots of great quotes. It is a book that can be viewed as controversial because it infers that anyone has the ability to be a Messiah. Despite the opposing views, this book has some great life lessons that we can adhere to.
Don, the "Messiah," is trying to tell Richard, the author, that he has the power to create anything his heart desires. In one particular scene, Richard has the experience of walking on water. Next Don wants Richard to walk through a wall. That's where Richard's "faith" ends.
Don says, "He walks on water folks, and he is discouraged because he doesn't walk through walls." Richards responds, "But that was easy and this..." and be for Richard could finish his sentence, Don interrupts, and says...
"Argue for your limitations and you get to keep them." (Our quote for the day)
It seems as though we are quick to put limits on our abilities. When times get hard it is easy to make up excuses as to why we can't accomplish our goals. It is so much easier to just do nothing and "accept" our fate.
Every time you say "I can't," you are making a case for why you can't do something. Eventually, like a lawyer, you are going to build a strong case against yourself with lots of evidence of your shortcomings.
"I don't have enough money." EVIDENCE.
"I'm not smart enough." EVIDENCE
"I'm too old." EVIDENCE
"I don't have enough time." EVIDENCE
"I don't etc..." ALL EVIDENCE
It's easy to see how we build a strong argument for why we consistently fall short. Consistency is usually a good thing but when you consistently feed your thoughts with negative information, you get a negative outcome.
So what do we do? Remove all limits. Come to an understanding that we need to value are thoughts because it is our thoughts that determine our existence.
It is a process. You may have been fueling these negative thoughts in your mind for a while now so it is going to take some time to get used to whole new mindset.
One way to start as I've said before is to adopt an "attitude of gratitude." Being thankful for what you already have is the best way to get yourself in the right direction.
When you're thankful you rid yourself of negative thoughts. You want to get to a point in your life where positive thoughts outweigh the negative. This is when your dreams start to manifest.
Have fun with life. Don't put limits on your abilities. If you you're interested in something, start doing it even if you don't know how. The Universe will put in place the tools that you need to make it happen. The Universe rewards action. You can't just sit back and wish things into being. You have to push the issue and you'll be surprised at how powerful you really are.
Thanks for listening.

Most of us can learn to live in perfect comfort on higher levels of power. Everyone knows that on any given day there are energies slumbering in him which the incitements of that day do not call forth. Compared with what we ought to be, we are only half awake. It is evident that our organism has stored-up reserves of energy that are ordinarily not called upon - deeper and deeper strata of explosable material, ready for use by anyone who probes so deep. The human individual usually lives far within his limits."
- William James
